Job Overview

Duties
- Execute landscape installation projects including planting, grading, and soil preparation using hand tools and power tools.
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators to assist with site preparation and construction tasks.
- Maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and system functionality.
- Perform regular landscape maintenance activities including mowing, pruning, fertilizing, mulching, and weed control.
- Conduct routine inspections of landscape features and equipment to identify maintenance needs or repairs.
- Apply horticultural knowledge to select appropriate plants, troubleshoot plant health issues, and ensure sustainable growth.
- Assist with construction tasks related to landscape features such as patios, pathways, retaining walls, and water features.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating mechanical equipment such as excavators and other construction machinery.
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, gardening techniques, and horticulture principles.
- Experience with landscape maintenance practices including pruning, fertilization, aeration, and pest control.
- Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and repairing tools and equipment used in landscaping projects.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools (shovels, pruners) and power tools (trimmers, blowers).
- Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings related to landscape design or construction projects.
- Construction experience is highly desirable for executing complex outdoor projects effectively.

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
