This role combines the art of handcrafted ice cream production with the preparation and presentation of fresh pastries and desserts. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and produce a variety of handcrafted ice creams, frozen desserts, pastries, cakes, cookies, and baked goods.
- Develop new seasonal and signature flavors, recipes, and dessert offerings.
- Decorate and finish pastries, cakes, and desserts with creativity and consistency.
- Measure, mix, bake, freeze, and assemble products according to recipes and quality standards.
- Monitor ingredient freshness and ensure proper storage and rotation of all products.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, baking, and production areas in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Operate and maintain baking, mixing, and ice cream production equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with inventory management, ingredient ordering, and minimizing product waste.
- Ensure consistent product quality, appearance, texture, and flavor.
- Collaborate with team members to improve recipes, production methods, and customer offerings.
- Support special orders, catering requests, and seasonal promotions as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience in pastry, baking, ice cream production, or dessert preparation is preferred.
- Knowledge of baking techniques, frozen dessert production, and food handling procedures.
- Creativity and enthusiasm for developing new recipes and flavor combinations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Food Safe Certification (or willingness to obtain certification) is considered an asset.
