Position Description
**Looking for a Night shift warehouse team member with previous warehousing and material handling experience. The main function of the job would be to work as a team member within a spare parts warehouse, performing various warehousing activities – receiving, picking, shipping, cycle counts, etc.
Night shift time is 5:45pm to 4:15am. Shift time is subject to change based on customer requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accesses Customer systems (SAP) to receive inbound orders
- Receive various types of couriers throughout the day (box trucks, sprinter vans, personal vehicles, tractor trailers, etc.) using manual labour, forklifts, and pump trucks
- Monitors SAP for customer picklists, then fulfills picklists using warehouse inventory
- Ensures accuracy and quality of all inbound & outbound orders
- Direct contact and communication with external customers
- Direct contact and communication with internal customers and functional groups
- Maintains a clean and safe workplace (5S)
- Prepare skids/shipments for transport
- Deliver urgent expedites to customer facilities (using company provided vehicle)
- Completion of daily warehouse inventory tasks (cycle counts)
- Assists in the promotion of an orderly workflow
- Provides help, guidance and training in established processes, procedures and systems
- Accepts additional responsibilities in the absence of the department Team Lead or Supervisor
- Assists management in meeting corporate and customer goals and objectives
- Supports corporate and customer policies
- Supports EMS/QMS policies and procedures
- Supports health and safety policies
- Follows all required escalation policies and procedures
- Additional warehouse tasks as required (as Supervisor’s discretion)
REQUIREMENTS
- Must have valid G-class license and access to own personal vehicle
- Material handling background preferred
- Forklift experience (electric forklift) preferred
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Computer experience (Outlook, SAP) preferred
- Ability to work 40 hrs and Night Shift
- Ability to work extended shifts (10hrs) required
- Off shift, on call support may be required
- Weekend OT may be required
JOB INFORMATION
- Job Type: Full-time
- Salary: $21.00/hr
- Benefits: After 3 months probationary period
- Vacation: 2 weeks paid time-off after 1 year of service
- Safety Shoes: $100/year reimbursement
