Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Long Haul Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty trucks over long distances, ensuring timely delivery of freight across various routes. Duties
- Operate commercial trucks over long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Transport freight efficiently from origin to destination while maintaining delivery schedules
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance
- Secure freight properly using appropriate equipment such as straps and tarps
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and delivery records
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding routes, delays, or issues during transit
- Assist with loading and unloading freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle operational readiness
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Valid US VISA.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, especially long-haul routes
- Knowledge of freight handling and securing techniques
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations governing commercial transportation
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently on extended trips
