Overview
The HR Generalist (Intermediate) is responsible for ensuring compliance with HR policies, company processes, and employment laws while supporting business strategy execution through effective HR practices. This role partners with management and employees to address employee and labor relations issues, deliver HR services, and implement initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness. The position requires strong expertise, minimal supervision, and the ability to manage complex HR matters while contributing to process improvements and promoting an inclusive workplace.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and ensure compliance with HR policies, company processes, and employment laws.
- Partner with management on employee and labor relations matters and conduct internal investigations as assigned.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for line managers, addressing employee inquiries, issues, and complaints.
- Communicate HR objectives, policies, and procedures to employees and leadership at all levels.
- Support business strategy execution by leveraging HR processes and delivering effective HR interventions.
- Identify people-related implications of business decisions and provide strategic HR recommendations.
- Build strong client relationships and establish rapport across the organization.
- Deliver HR services including performance management (PADP), staffing and development, case management, and policy interpretation.
- Analyze trends and metrics to identify workforce challenges and recommend actionable solutions.
- Implement and monitor HR action plans aligned with business objectives.
- Promote leadership, management, and supervisory effectiveness.
- Advocate for diversity and inclusion initiatives, ensuring a respectful and inclusive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external HR requirements.
- Identify and drive improvements in HR processes and systems.
- Manage and resolve complex employee issues and may mentor junior HR Generalists.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in staffing and HR functions.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience managing complex employee relations issues is preferred.
- Leadership or mentoring experience is an advantage.
