Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) or Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners, supporting their developmental needs, and fostering a love for learning. Proficiency in both English and French is an asset, as it will enhance communication with children and families.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging educational programs tailored to the needs of children.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians as needed.
- Utilize effective time management skills to ensure smooth daily operations within the classroom.
- Maintain organized records of children's activities, assessments, and developmental milestones.
- Support children with special education needs by adapting teaching methods and materials accordingly.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues to promote a collaborative learning atmosphere.
Experience
- A diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is essential.
- Familiarity with special education practices is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities effectively.
- Ability to educate young learners through creative lesson planning and implementation.
- Proficiency in both English and French will be considered an asset.
- Competence in using technology for classroom management and documentation purposes.
