Job Description
We are looking to hire an experienced full-time Senior Pricing Analyst for our Head Office in Brampton, Ontario. The Senior Pricing Analyst, under the supervision of the Department Manager, performs a variety of duties to ensure the efficient and effective presentation of rate agreements to clients. This position requires excellent communication, interpersonal and computer skills as well as good planning, organization, and multi-tasking ability. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintains customer rate agreements to ensure accurate invoicing.
- Responds to Customer and Sales inquires regarding pricing issues.
- Works closely with the Pricing Manager and department on various issues.
- Prepare and file contracts internally, ensuring all applicable steps are followed.
- Develops strategy and implements Tenders to secure the most competitive rate for specific lanes.
- Utilize internal systems (rate tables, contract management systems, etc.) to retrieve current and benchmark requests for new rates.
- Monitor KPI’s, market dynamics and competitive pricing strategies to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
- Become a Subject Matter Expert in area of responsibility for relevant industry trends including carrier rate actions, general rate increases (GRIs) and fuel which influences rates.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years job related experience.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis on Excel and Word.
- Strong logistical, analytical skills required.
- Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills required.
- Self-motivated and works well in a team environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure while effectively handling multiple conflicting priorities.
- Previous experience in the transportation industry preferred.
- Some post-secondary education in the logistics management or other related program is preferred.
- Ability to speak/write/communicate in French would be an asset
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
