Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Delivery Helper to join our team. This role involves assisting with the delivery and handling of goods, supporting the driver, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with heavy lifting, moving items, and working in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an opportunity to gain warehouse and commercial driving experience while contributing to efficient delivery operations.
Duties
- Assist the delivery driver in loading and unloading goods at various locations
- Help move items using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries
- Maintain safety standards during loading, unloading, and transportation processes
- Support warehouse activities including organizing inventory and preparing shipments for delivery
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues that arise
Skills
- Experience with moving heavy or bulky items safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus
- Strong customer service skills to handle interactions professionally and courteously
- Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly throughout the shift
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers
- Warehouse experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team environment
Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
