What will you be doing!

Overseeing daily site operations, including reviewing and approving work plans, schedules, and job packages.

Ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with procedures, standards, and customer expectations.

Coordinating with maintenance teams to allocate resources, resolve scheduling conflicts, and maintain workflow continuity.
-
Maintaining a strong field presence to monitor safety, productivity, and work quality.
-
Assigning work, leading pre- and post-job briefings, and facilitating effective cross-team communication.

Analyzing operations and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

Leading and supervising a multidisciplinary team including Utility Workers, Hoisting Engineers, Drivers, Heavy Equipment Operators, Trades, and Lead Hands.

Coaching and mentoring team members through training, performance management, and development planning.

Participating in hiring, onboarding, and training to ensure new employees are supported and set up for success.

Ensuring compliance with all safety programs, regulations, and policies, including promoting a strong safety culture.

What we are looking for:

Education

Experience
-
Minimum of 5 years of technical or maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Previous supervisory or leadership experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
-
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and inspire teams.
-
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with employees, leadership, customers, and external vendors.
-
Experience interpreting and applying regulatory, organizational, and union requirements.
-
Knowledge of fleet, transportation, and heavy equipment operations, including applicable standards.
-
Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and construction drawings.
-
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules, budgets, and competing priorities.

Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative in resolving issues.
-
Experience with systems such as Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Oracle, or similar software.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently and manage administrative responsibilities.

Security Clearance Eligibility Required
-
Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”

Working schedule: Four (4) days per week, ten (10) hours per day for a forty (40) hour work week.
