We are a growing real estate development company seeking an experienced, reliable, and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper or Full time Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounts payable across multiple business entities, along with limited personal expense tracking for ownership.
This is an in-person position that requires strong organizational skills, professionalism, discretion, and hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online.
Bookkeeping
- Bookkeeping by processing and tracking invoices, payments, bills, and cheques
- Upload, organize, and code receipts and invoices into QuickBooks Online
- Weekly organization and review of:
- Bank statements, deposits, withdrawals, and cheques
- Copies of all issued cheques
- Credit card reconciliations (multiple Visa accounts)
- Support month-end reconciliations (bank and credit cards)
- Coordinate with external accountants and provide required documentation
Filing
- Filing is extremely important
- Maintain organized physical binders and digital filing systems through colour coded system
- Highly organized with excellent time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently in a structured office environment
- Professional, reliable, and discreet with sensitive information
Administration
- Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointments
- Maintain organized filing systems (digital and physical) for all projects
- Coordinate with consultants (planners, engineers, architects) and municipal staff
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and general inquiries in a professional manner
- Organize and manage contracts, agreements, and project documentation
- Maintain and update contact lists, project trackers, and internal databases
- Coordinate internal team communication and follow-ups on action items
- Ensure office organization and general administrative efficiency
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years of bookkeeping experience required
- Experience working with real estate development, construction, or property management companies is considered a strong asset
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper (real estate experience is a strong asset)
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online
- Solid understanding of accounts payable and financial record-keeping
