We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Powder Coater to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing metal surfaces, applying powder coating finishes, and ensuring products meet quality and production standards. The ideal candidate has experience working in a metal fabrication or industrial painting environment and is committed to producing high-quality finishes while following all safety procedures.
- Prepare metal parts for powder coating by cleaning, sanding, masking, and hanging components.
- Apply powder coating using electrostatic spray equipment.
- Operate curing ovens and monitor curing temperatures and cycles.
- Inspect coated parts for thickness, coverage, color consistency, and finish quality.
- Perform touch-ups and rework when necessary.
- Load and unload parts from production lines and curing ovens.
- Maintain powder coating equipment and ensure proper operation.
- Follow production schedules and meet daily output targets.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
- Assist with general labour duties as required.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Powder Coater or Industrial Painter.
- Experience with electrostatic powder coating equipment.
- Knowledge of metal surface preparation techniques.
- Ability to identify coating defects and perform quality inspections.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous powder coating or industrial painting experience required.
- Knowledge of powder coating processes and curing procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CSA-approved safety shoes required.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
