Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator specializing in Millwork to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and programming CNC milling machines, ensuring precise fabrication of millwork components. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. The CNC Operator will work closely with other team members to produce high-quality products efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Operate CNC milling machines, including CNC lathes and CNC machining centers, utilizing controls and other programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Program, set up, and troubleshoot CNC equipment to meet production specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical specifications to produce accurate parts.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machinery, including calibration and tool changes using hand tools.
- Use precision measurement tools such as calipers to verify dimensions and ensure quality control standards are met.
- Assist with the setup of press brake machines and welding operations when necessary for assembly processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members on packaging, assembly, and warehouse tasks as needed to meet production goals.
- Conduct inspections throughout the machining process to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar machining equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming, CAD software (SolidWorks preferred), and blueprint reading.
- Familiarity with controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and basic math skills for precise measurements.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in welding, press brake operation, and use of hand tools.
- Ability to operate forklifts or warehouse equipment is a plus but not required.
- Prior experience with quality control procedures and machining tolerances.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding material handling and packaging processes.
