Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our shelter. This role is essential in ensuring a hygienic, organized, and welcoming environment for employees, clients, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have experience in various cleaning and custodial tasks, with a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness across different settings, including commercial, industrial, and residential spaces.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Conduct specialized cleaning tasks including floor care, buffing, and carpet cleaning to ensure surfaces are well-maintained.
- Handle custodial responsibilities in both commercial and residential environments, ensuring all areas are sanitized and organized.
- Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and ensure proper storage.
- Follow health and safety regulations to prevent accidents or hazards within the shelter.
Experience and Requirements
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred.
- First Aid Training preferred.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
