Project Manager / Senior Project Coordinator – Multifamily (Contract)
Location: Surrey, BC (Hybrid)
Compensation: Approximately $45–$60/hour (equivalent to $90,000–$120,000 annually), depending on experience.
About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established developer in the Lower Mainland, is seeking an experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Coordinator to support the successful completion of two multifamily residential developments.
This is a 4–5 month contract focused on project close-out, occupancy, deficiencies, and final turnover. The successful candidate will initially support the completion of a 288-unit purpose-built rental development in Surrey.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing projects across the finish line and has extensive experience navigating the final stages of multifamily construction.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate project close-out activities from substantial completion through final handover.
- Manage occupancy readiness and coordinate with consultants, trades, municipalities, and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee deficiency tracking and ensure timely resolution.
- Coordinate inspections, documentation, commissioning, warranties, and turnover packages.
- Monitor project schedules and ensure key close-out milestones are achieved.
- Work closely with site teams to ensure a smooth transition from construction to occupancy.
- Maintain clear communication with all project stakeholders throughout the close-out process.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Coordinator within the construction industry.
- Proven experience delivering multifamily residential projects through occupancy and project close-out.
- Strong understanding of deficiencies, turnover, commissioning, occupancy, and warranty processes.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore or similar platforms is considered an asset.
