Most Wanted Cars is looking for strengthen our service department in the role of Automotive Mechanic. This role will require strong diagnosing skills and the ability to work independently to complete vehicle inspections and repairs in a safe, thorough and timely manner.
Responsibilities will include:
- Performing safety inspections on dealership-owned, primarily newer-aged vehicles
- Conducting vehicle inspections, including test driving vehicles to diagnose and determine the required repair-work
- Communicate with customers and the Service Manager in a professional manner to provide information on the status of vehicle repairs and the work that is required
- Make recommendations on any additional repairs that are required, as per industry safety standards and training
- Adjust, repair or replace components of the automotive system, as required
- Order parts and liaise with the Service Coordinator on ordering, as needed
- Maintain high quality workmanship that meets customer and business satisfaction
- Ensure customer vehicles are returned in the same condition as received (i.e. cleanliness is maintained)
- Maintain a clean and safe internal and external working environment, which may include occasional lot maintenance and snow removal
Successful applicants will possess:
- A minimum of one to two years experience as an Automotive Mechanic
- 310 S Certification Preferred
- Must provide own tools
- Demonstrated strong diagnosing skills
- Valid driver license with a clean driving abstract
