Cash Application Specialist - Consumer Products Immediate-Full Time -Permanent – On Site Position - $50,000 - $52,000

Key Responsibilities
- Apply payments accurately to customer accounts (cash receipts)
- Sort and process cheques, including post-dated cheques
- Resolve customer payment discrepancies and short payments
- Process customer payments over the phone
- Close daily credit card batches for both CAD and USD transactions
- Set up CAD and USD customer accounts for web login access.
- Respond to customer calls and emails related to orders, products, pricing, and delivery inquiries
- Enter Customer Orders as necessary
- Assist with claims, discrepancies, and issuance of credit notes
- Coordinate with warehouse for pickup orders and with carriers for shipment and delivery updates
- Track shipments and follow up on delivery issues
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in a B2B Customer Service, Cash Application, Credit, or AR environment
- College diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Basic understanding of accounting and AR processes with experience in credit, or collections is considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately and confidentially
- Organized, resourceful, and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Customer-centric mindset with the ability to handle inquiries professionally
- Ability to identify, investigate, and resolve billing and cash application issues
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (V-Look Up)
