What we do
Greycor Projects takes on a wide variety of residential renovation and build projects, from full-house transformations (interiors, exteriors, decks, outdoor living), to kitchen and bathroom overhauls, to custom woodworking and architectural concrete. Our clients expect premium finishes, creative solutions, and on-time, on-budget delivery. As our Lead Carpenter, you will be at the centre of delivering that standard.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the onsite Lead Carpenter, overseeing and executing full-spectrum renovation work (including framing, finishing, decks/outdoor spaces, and interior rebuilds) across multiple residential projects.
- Coordinate and communicate directly with clients, project managers and internal team members to ensure smooth operations, schedule adherence and quality control.
- Lead, mentor and manage carpenters, apprentices and helpers providing guidance, delegating tasks and ensuring safety, productivity and craftsmanship standards.
- Read and interpret project drawings and specifications, set up job sites, sequence work, troubleshoot onsite issues, and ensure finishing details meet our high-end benchmarks.
- Maintain jobsite cleanliness, tool and material organization, ensure compliance with safety/regulatory requirements and eXectively liaise with subcontractors and suppliers as needed.
- Actively develop your own skills in advanced carpentry disciplines, and contribute suggestions for process improvements, quality enhancements and team growth.
Skills & requirements
- Proven carpentry experience across multiple disciplines in residential renovation.
- Ability to lead a crew — supervising helpers/apprentices, coordinating with project management, and driving completion of tasks to high standards.
- Excellent communication skills and a personable, professional manner.
- Own a reliable vehicle, hold a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment across diXerent job sites across the Lower Mainland.
- A positive mindset, strong work ethic, attention to detail, pride in craftsmanship, and commitment to safety.
- Previous experience as a lead or foreman; familiarity with high-end finish work, millwork, or design-build projects will be highly valued.
Compensation & benefits
- Hourly wage: $35.00 – $45.00 /hr, depending on experience and leadership ability.
- Fuel compensation for travel between job sites.
