Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Transportation and logistics as they will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, compliance and supporting internal audit processes. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial integrity of our organization through analysis and risk management. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, conducting internal audits, and be involved in all aspects of data gathering to accomplish that task.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyze, and review financial statements in accordance with regulatory standards and company policies
· Balance sheet account reconciliations, investigation, and correction of any anomalies.
· Reconciliation of all inter-company accounts
· Allocation of internal revenue and expenses.
- Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes with accuracy and timeliness
- Utilize accounting resources and software to record, reconcile, and report financial data
- Conduct detailed analysis of financial data to inform management decisions
- Collaborate with branch operations to ensure adherence to internal controls and audit requirements.
- Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and standards affecting the organization
Skills
· CPA designation
· Previous experience within the logistics industry is preferred
· Strong expertise in accounting principles and practices with a focus on risk management
· Proficiency in accounting & ERP software, TMW Truckmate experience is preferred
· Proactive and positive approach with Co-workers, customers, etc.
· Positive can-do attitude and the aptitude to back that up.
Pay: $67,500.00-$90,000.00 per year
