We are looking to hire a security concierge to serve the needs of a commercial office tower. Your primary duties will be to greet and welcome visitors and tenants to the building; assist tenants with day-to-day needs such as replacement passcards; amenity recommendations and/or specialized services; provide access to delivery personnel; manage day to day operations; coordinate and supervise special events; and other duties as assigned.
The security concierge must maintain professionalism, poise, control, and customer-focused in their interactions to maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a service-oriented mindset with strong communication skills, sound judgement, attention to detail, and the ability to respond calmly and effectively during emergencies.
Job Specifications & Responsibilities:
- Interact & communicate professionally with management, event staff, guests, vendors, contractors, and visitors while delivering exceptional customer service in a luxury event venue.
- Provide a visible security presence through routine patrols of the venue, including event halls, lobby, entrances, outdoor patio, and parking areas.
- Monitor access control, prevent unauthorized entry or removal of property, and maintain security within restricted areas.
- Respond to emergencies, alarms, medical incidents, disturbances, and requests for assistance, coordinating with emergency services and client representatives when required.
- De-escalate confrontational situations, maintain order, resolve conflicts, and ensure the safety of guests, staff, and property during events.
- Observe, investigate, and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, security concerns, and maintenance issues promptly.
- Complete Daily Occurrence Reports, Incident Reports, Special Occurrence Reports, memo book entries, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
- Operate and monitor security systems, communication equipment, access control systems, and other site security technology.
- Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, appearance, customer service, and confidentiality while representing Executek International.
- Demonstrate strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills while working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned and carry out the essential functions of the position
Education & Other Requirements
- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
- Valid First Aid & CPR/AED Certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to stand, walk, patrol, and work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as required.
- Must be fluent in English. Additional languages are an asset.
- Must display strong organizational, motivational, administrative, and customer service skills.
- Have an exceptional memory capacity to recognize people, know their names, preferences and to greet personally.
- Minimum of 1 year of security experience.
