Position: HR Generalist
Reports to: General Manager / HR Manager
Location: 2485 Speers Road, Oakville

Mancor Industries is seeking an HR Generalist / Health & Safety Coordinator to support both Human Resources and Health & Safety functions within our manufacturing operations.
This hands-on role is responsible for coordinating employee onboarding, training, health and safety programs, workplace investigations, WSIB administration, policy compliance, and employee relations support. The successful candidate will work closely with managers and employees to ensure a safe, productive, and engaged workplace while maintaining compliance with Ontario employment and occupational health and safety legislation.
Shift: Monday to Friday 8:00AM to 4:00PM.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources
Recruitment & Onboarding
· Coordinate recruitment activities including interview scheduling and candidate communication
· Prepare employment documentation and onboarding packages
· Conduct new hire orientations
· Ensure completion of all onboarding requirements
· Maintain employee personnel files and HR records
Training & Development
· Coordinate employee training programs
· Maintain training matrices and certification records
· Schedule internal and external training sessions
· Support development of training materials and work instructions
· Track employee training compliance
HR Administration
· Maintain HRIS and employee records
· Support policy implementation and compliance
· Generate HR reports and metrics
· Support employee engagement initiatives
Health & Safety
Safety Compliance
· Coordinate Health & Safety programs and initiatives
· Conduct workplace inspections
· Ensure compliance with OHSA requirements
· Maintain safety records and documentation
· Assist in development and implementation of safety procedures
Incident Management
· Coordinate incident and near-miss investigations
· Conduct root cause analysis
· Develop corrective and preventative actions
· Support WSIB claims management and return-to-work programs
· Track and report safety metrics
JHSC Administration
· Coordinate monthly JHSC meetings
· Prepare meeting agendas and minutes
· Track action items and recommendations
· Support annual workplace inspections
Safety Training
· Deliver new hire safety orientation
· Coordinate mandatory safety training
· Maintain training records and certifications
· Develop toolbox talks and safety communications
Emergency Preparedness
· Coordinate emergency response plans
· Conduct evacuation drills
· Maintain first aid and emergency response programs
· Support workplace violence and harassment prevention initiatives
Qualifications
· Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Occupational Health & Safety, Business, or related field
· Successful completion of (or currently pursuing) either of the following:
o Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP®)
o Certified Health and Safety Consultant (CHSC)
o Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST®)
· 3 – 5 years of progressive health & safety management experience gained within fast-paced, manufacturing environment
· Knowledge of:
o Ontario Employment Standards Act (ESA)
o WSIB legislation
o Human Rights Code
· Experience conducting employee onboarding and training
· Experience with incident investigations and workplace inspections
· Strong communication and presentation skills
· Strong organizational and administrative skills
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR systems
Salary and Benefits
· Salary: CAD 60,000 – CAD 65,000 Annually (negotiable Depending on Experience)
