We are currently seeking a Janitor/Housekeeping Attendant to join our dedicated and hardworking Clubhouse team. In this role, you will play an important part in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the Club. We offer a competitive wage, a meal during each shift, select golfing privileges, and discounts on merchandise from our Golf Shop.
Overview of Position:
The Janitor/Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the Club. This role ensures the clubhouse, locker rooms, staff areas, and outdoor spaces are consistently maintained to a high standard, while also supporting event setups, minor repairs, and special cleaning requests. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has strong attention to detail, and is committed to creating a positive experience for members, guests, and fellow employees.
Wage: $21.60 per hour
Schedule: Saturday & Sunday, 5:30am – 2:00pm (this position will have the opportunity to work additional shifts when short-staffed)
Responsibilities:
- Clean, disinfect, and restock washrooms, locker rooms, staff areas, clubhouse spaces, and golf course facilities.
- Collect, remove, and properly dispose of garbage, recyclables, and hazardous waste.
- Keep public and work areas clean, organized, and well maintained.
- Dust and clean furniture, pictures, tables, countertops, and other surfaces.
- Clean and maintain walls, windows, ceilings, floors, carpets, air vents, furniture, blinds, and washrooms using a variety of cleaning methods and equipment.
- Maintain exterior areas, including entranceways, sidewalks, gutters, and parking lots; remove leaves, snow, dirt, and other debris.
- Assist with minor repairs and maintenance, including furniture repairs, shelving, painting, plumbing fixtures, and basic electrical repairs.
- Set up and take down tables, chairs, and other furniture for banquets, events, and club functions.
- Respond promptly to spills, unexpected cleaning needs, and special guest requests.
- Provide friendly and professional service to ensure a positive experience for members and guests.
- Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with team members and other departments.
- Follow all health, safety, and workplace standards and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Interest in the service industry.
- Must have the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to work independently or within a team while adapting to changing situations.
- Has a positive attitude and willingness to help with various tasks.
- Must be able to work flexible hours of work, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
