Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented General Labourer for our Metal Fabrication team, working the afternoon shift from 2pm to 12am Monday-Thursday. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC routing equipment, ensuring precision and quality in all manufactured components. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize machine performance.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Set up and run a 3-axis routing table, including loading programs and configuring machine parameters for optimal performance.
- Select, modify, and manage CNC programs to meet job specifications and production requirements.
- Position and secure workpieces, select proper tooling, and stage raw materials for production.
- Utilize gauges and measuring instruments to verify tolerances and ensure parts meet quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
- Achieve production schedule targets, complete required documentation, and manage digital cut files for future reference.
Required skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Previous experience operating CNC or other equipment an asset
- Knowledge of cutting software, proper speeds and feeds, and tooling selection
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Basic computer skills and experience with CNC programming
- Ability to lift materials and work in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Manual material handling of products
- Bending at the waist and over equipment, lifting products
