The Best Western Plus Burlington Inn & Suites is seeking a professional, dynamic, friendly and detail oriented Guest Service Agent to join our team. Guest Service Agents report to the Front Office Manager and General Manager.
*3PM-11:15PM, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
Job Description: The successful candidate needs to possess a friendly and welcoming attitude, and be able to multitask in a busy environment. Front Desk Agents are required to:
- Arrive on time for your shift
- Welcome guests in a professional and friendly manner.
- Verify all information at check-in.
- Safely and accurately handle cash or credit card information.
- Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, debit, or credit. Process all check-outs including resolving any late and disputed charges.
- Answer telephones and guest inquiries
- Offer assistance to guests in regards to hotel amenities and nearby attractions (restaurants, attractions, directions, transportation, etc.)
- Handle all guest requests promptly and effectively.
- Establish and maintain rapport with guest during check in and duration of stay
- Problem-solving guests’ concerns and proactively exceeding guest expectations
- Run audit and balance accounts at end of day.
- Input rooming lists into system.
- Coordinate with other departments to give guests best experience possible.
- Follow all safety policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: MUST have flexible availability At least 1 year front desk/hotel/customer service experience required
- Proficient in the English language (verbal and written); second language an asset.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and administration skills.
- Intermediate level of Microsoft Office applications an asset.
- Present a high degree of professional work ethic and image.
- Able to take control of situation and problem solve.
Pay: From $18.50 per hour
