Restoration Technician
We are looking for an experienced IICRC certified Restoration Technician to join our team. We respond to residential losses involving water and flood damage, fire and smoke, trauma, sewage contamination, and asbestos.
This is a full-time position. Typical hours are Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm. Since we operate 24/7, you will be required to be on call. A company vehicle is provided during working hours.
Job Details:
- Responding to on-call emergencies (water extraction, sewer backup, mold remediation, fire remediation, asbestos, etc.)
- Setting up drying equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers)
- Performing water extraction and demolition as required
- Handling mold remediation and environmental cleaning
- Monitoring and documenting drying progress (moisture readings, photos, reports)
- Ensuring all work meets industry standards (IICRC S500 / S520)
- Tear out with rebuild in mind
- Assessing emergencies and creating a plan of action to mediate the situation
- Assisting in vehicle inspections
- Dropping off and picking up of equipment
- Installing equipment
- Daily monitoring of equipment
- Filling out paperwork, i.e. time sheets, hazard assessments, psychrometric readings
- Taking photos and submitting them to appropriate personnel
- Making sure vehicles are stocked at all times
- Clean equipment and ensuring equipment is in proper working order, getting repaired if needed
- Promote safety
- Keeping certifications valid
- Occasional assistance with contents division as needed
- Maintaining a clean and safe job site
- Communicating with homeowners, tenants, and property managers professionally
Requirements:
- Previous restoration experience
- IICRC courses
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work long hours when needed (emergency work environment)
- Valid driver’s license
- Comfortable working in physically demanding conditions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean criminal background check and driver’s abstract
Qualifications
- Background in construction, restoration, and general labour is an asset
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong work ethic with a high level of reliability
- Physically capable of lifting materials and working in tight or confined spaces
- Adaptable and able to perform in time-sensitive environments
- Clear communicator with a professional attitude

Pay: $28.00-$36.00 per hour
