Job Title: Front Desk Agent
Job Description:
Do you like being the center of attention? The Guest Service Associate is the Hyatt Place Kelowna Ambassador who provides front-line customer care to every single guest entering or calling the Hyatt Place Kelowna.
Responsibilities & Skills
- Must possess great customer service skills, problem-solving skills, and multi-tasking skills.
- Must be able to remain calm under pressure and able to work with minimum supervision.
- Must be well versed with Microsoft office and ability to stand for 8 hours.
- Working Knowledge of PMS like Opera an asset.
- Must be flexible and be available on Weekdays, Weekends, Holidays and be able to work mornings and afternoons.
- Check in and out process, answering phone calls for reservations and handling all in-house guest requests
- Pre-block reservations- Identify repeat guests, assign welcome gifts for top corporate clients
- Co-ordinate with the Sales Department for group arrivals
- Liaison with F+B staff to assist in the Hyatt Place Kelowna Bistro
- Handle customer complaints with minimum management involvement
- Work independently with minimum supervision
- Attend to other tasks assigned by the Front Office Manager and General Manager
- Assist with other departments, as necessary
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of Front Desk experience preferred
- Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite
- Opera experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational skills, meeting deadlines and client due dates
- Team player who possesses good planning and problem solving and the ability to work with other departments to exceed customer service.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
