Reporting to the Yard Manager, the Regional Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient, and professional transportation of freight throughout Saskatchewan and Western Canada based on customer and operational requirements. This role involves picking up and delivering freight, securing loads, assisting with loading and unloading activities, and representing Q-Line Trucking with a high level of professionalism and customer service.
This position is paid hourly and includes overtime opportunities in accordance with applicable employment standards. Drivers can expect a mix of local and regional work, with occasional overnight trips within Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Manitoba.
Key Responsibilities

Safely transport freight in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.

Properly secure freight using chains, straps, binders, tarps, and other load securement devices as required.

Assist with loading and unloading freight while ensuring cargo is handled safely and professionally.

Verify load information, shipping documentation, and delivery instructions for accuracy and completeness.

Maintain accurate records including electronic logs, bills of lading, inspection reports, and delivery documentation.

Deliver freight and paperwork in a professional, timely, and customer-focused manner.

Comply with all applicable transportation regulations, including Hours of Service, Occupational Health and Safety requirements, and weight and dimension regulations.

Communicate effectively with dispatch, operations, customers, and fellow team members.

Provide assistance with yard operations and equipment movement as required.

Maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance of assigned equipment.

Perform other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma or GED.

Valid Class 1A or Commercial Driver’s License.

Open deck knowledge is a must with some experience with RGNs.

Minimum two years of long-haul or cross-border driving experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of transportation safety and regulatory requirements.

Experience with load securement practices including chains, straps, and tarping is considered an asset.

Willingness to travel throughout Saskatchewan and occasionally into Alberta and Manitoba, including occasional overnight trips.
