Sharing A Purpose Workshop Facilitator's Job Description
The Workshop Facilitator's (WF) role is to follow the planned curriculum by leading group activities with differentiated instruction to meet the needs of individuals with exceptionalities. The focus will be to assist the participants in learning and practicing the desired skills required, identified as each persons' individualized holistic goals. WF will offer leadership to ensure high-quality engagement of participants in the group and individual activities while documenting each participant's progress. A positive and supportive attitude is vital to promote a conducive learning atmosphere while completing tasks identified in each learning workshop agenda.
SAP Workshop Facilitator's Qualifications
· To have a minimum education level of post-secondary certificate, diploma or degree in studies related to working with individuals with exceptionalities.
· It is preferred to have previous experience supporting individuals with exceptionalities.
· Provide proof that they have a recent negative result in their Vulnerable Person Sector (VPS) police clearance.
· First Aid and CPR training
· A valid 'G' driver's license with personal transportation are required. Must have a good driving record - will need to provide a driver's abstract.
· Must demonstrate excellent communication skills - written, receptive and expressive. Be a problem solver that is attentive to details in work. Also, possess a positive and outgoing personality conscious of their emotional intelligence.
· Provide two character references to verify if you qualify as a WF.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
