Overview
Buildscapes Construction Ltd. is a civil / environmental construction contractor specializing in stormwater management pond cleanouts, restoration, and municipal infrastructure work. We're growing our crews and need a dependable, hard-working Skilled Laborer to support our operators and crews across active sites.
Responsibilities
- Assist with reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to support project execution.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and machinery safely and effectively.
- Support equipment operators and crews on stormwater pond, restoration, and civil sites
- Site preparation, grading by hand, backfilling, and general labour
- Assist with pipe work, erosion and sediment control, and site restoration
- Set up and maintain safety, traffic control, and environmental measures
- Load, move, and organize materials, tools, and equipment
- Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction or related fields; familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics is preferred.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Stormwater Management (SWMP) pond project experience
- Sewer and watermain construction experience
- Tickets: WHMIS, Working at Heights, confined space, traffic control
- Skid steer or small equipment experience
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
