The Position
As a Heavy Duty Mechanic with Squires Industrial, you will inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty equipment in a demanding industrial environment. You’ll be trusted to solve problems, keep equipment moving, and complete quality repairs safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
- Complete repairs, servicing, and preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns
- Perform inspections and identify potential equipment failures
- Complete accurate service reports and maintenance documentation
- Follow company and site-specific safety procedures
- Work independently and alongside other experienced tradespeople
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area
Qualifications
- Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification or equivalent experience
- Experienced apprentices may also be considered
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills
- Experience with heavy trucks, construction, mining, agricultural, or industrial equipment
- Ability to work a rotational schedule
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
- Dependable, safety-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Safety tickets and field-service experience are considered assets

Pay: $40.00-$65.00 per hour
