Burnbrae Farms is a sixth-generation Canadian family-owned company that is operated today by the 4th generation of the Hudson family. We are proud to be one of Canada's leading egg processors with farms, grading stations and processing operations across the country.
Today, Burnbrae has grown into the leading egg processor in Canada, with an attractive consumer brand and value-added products that include Egg Creations!, Simple Egg Whites, EGG Bakes!, EGG Bites! and EGGS2go!. We partner with 400 local egg farmers across the country and we operate in five provinces; including British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Quebec and Ontario with 6 farms, 2 distribution centres, 8 grading stations, 3 processing plants grading, boiling, cooking and shipping eggs across Canada. General Utility (Permanent, FT, Rotating shift WEEKLY)

- Pay Rate: $20.46ph and up
Shift:
We have 3 different lines we are recruiting for:
- Days / Afternoon Rotating 1: Mon-Fri, 7am-3:30pm / Mon-Fri, 3:30pm-midnight
- Days / Afternoon Rotating 2: Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm / Monday - Thursday 4:30pm-3:00am
Rotation: Yes, one week will be all day shift and the second week will be afternoon shifts.
Weekend: occasionally
OT: after 40 hours
Egg Inspector Extraordinaire (Packer) – Keep an eagle eye on our eggs! You’ll inspect them for quality and package them up for delivery to happy customers across the country. $20.46 – $22.84
Production Powerhouse (General Utility) – Keep the grading line humming! You’ll handle everything from stacking finished products to making sure we’re stocked with packaging supplies. $21.51 - $23.90
Yearly and Incremental Wage Increases based on hours (500, 1000, 1500)

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Know the Brands – Understand our customer requirements and brand standards so every order meets expectations.
- Pick & Pack with Precision – Read order sheets carefully, pick the right products, and make sure all paperwork is accurate and complete.
- Pack Like a Pro – Package eggs on racks, pallets, or in boxes based on daily production needs, ensuring everything is neat, secure, and ready to go.
- Carton Check – Use the correct cartons with the right printing, and make sure they’re sealed properly every time.
- Date Code Accuracy – Ensure all code dates are clear, correct, and facing the right direction when packed — presentation matters!
- Quality First – Spot and remove any damaged or dirty eggs, replacing them with clean, properly sized ones to maintain top quality.
- Keep It Clean – Maintain a tidy, safe, and sanitary workspace. Clean up spills, remove waste, and keep walkways and pallet areas clear.
- Move with Care – Safely transport pallets of eggs from the grading floor to the cooler, minimizing breakage and keeping things organized.
- Cooler Coordination – Work with the Cart Person and Cooler Rotation team to place and rotate inventory in the graded cooler as needed.
- Team Communication – Stay in sync with machine operators, co-workers, management, and QA to ensure smooth operations and consistent product quality.
- Follow the Rules – Adhere to all safety protocols, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and food safety standards like HACCP.
- Speak Up – Report any safety concerns, incidents, or anything that could affect food quality or workplace safety.
- Support the Line – Help keep the grading line running by unwrapping and restocking packaging supplies and handling finished product pallets.
- Be Flexible – Jump in where needed and take on other duties as assigned — we’re all in this together!
Required Knowledge Skills and Experience
- Previous factory work or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to work within a team setting as well as independently
- The flexibility to work various shifts, including days, afternoons, and weekends
- Excellent work ethic
- Proven commitment to safety and quality
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well as a member of a team
- Ability to safely lift 30-50 lbs. repeatedly throughout shift while bending and twisting in variety movements
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
