What You'll Do;
As an Assistant Manager, your main purpose of the position is to drive sales, profitability and customer service in our retail stores through developing and driving a selling culture, fostering company values and culture and growing the sales and profit through gaining a solid understanding of customer needs.
- Drive sales and ensure exceptional customer experience by maintaining high service standards across the store.
- Optimize staffing through effective scheduling, payroll management, and real-time coverage.
- Train, coach, and develop associates on customer service, selling skills, product knowledge, and company programs.
- Lead and motivate staff through daily huddles, performance feedback, recognition programs, and sales initiatives.
- Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally while reinforcing standards to prevent recurrence.
- Build and support corporate sales growth by partnering with Corporate Sales Representatives and managing client relationships.
- Manage payroll processes, including timecard approvals, forecasting, reporting, and analysis of labor spend.
- Execute merchandising, visual presentation, pricing, and promotional standards to maximize sales and margins.
- Oversee inventory management, including stock flow, transfers, replenishment, and communication of inventory needs.
- Analyze operational reports (sales, margins, conversion, and merchandising data) to identify opportunities and improve performance.
- Ensure inventory accuracy and asset protection through cycle counts, audits, loss prevention practices, and security procedures.
- Lead hiring, onboarding, performance management, and compliance with company policies while maintaining accurate employee records.
What You'll Bring;
- Post secondary education or equivalent
- 3-5 years’ progressive experience in retail supervisory or management capacity.
- Must be a certified fitter and have 3 to 5 years of progressive golf sales and fitting experience.
- 1-3 years’ experience in the Pro Shop (regripping, reshafting and club adjustments) is an asset.
- A passion for retail with a strong understanding of the game of golf.
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Energetic and enthusiastic with an ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Organized, able to prioritize and follow-up efficiently
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to relate to and motivate staff
- strong financial skills, ability to read and analyze reports
- Team-oriented with an empathetic and tolerant personality.

Work Hours
- Flex schedule - some weekends and evenings.
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
