Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Structural Detailer to join our Detailing and Engineering team. This full-time, on-site position is responsible for producing accurate structural steel models, fabrication drawings, erection drawings, and material reports using Autodesk Advance Steel and AutoCAD. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, fabrication, and project management personnel to ensure projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with industry standards and client requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed 3D structural steel models using Autodesk Advance Steel.
- Produce fabrication/shop drawings, erection drawings, general arrangement drawings, and material take-offs.
- Generate bills of materials (BOMs), fabrication reports, and CNC/NC data files as required.
- Review structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, fabricators, and site personnel to resolve detailing and constructability issues.
- Perform quality control checks on models and drawings before release.
- Maintain drawing revisions and document control procedures.
- Assist other detailers in larger projects as needed.
Requirement
- Diploma or Degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering Technology
- 1–2 years of structural steel detailing experience using Autodesk Advance Steel and AutoCAD. Must have knowledge of AutoCAD and be willing to learn new softwares.
- Understanding of structural steel fabrication, erection practices, and detailing standards.
- Ability to interpret structural and architectural drawings.
- Experience with BOM generation, material take-offs, and shop drawing production.
- Some knowledge of welding symbols.
- Experience with Navisworks or Revit is considered an asset.
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Experience:
- Structural steel detailing: 2 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
