Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Process Equipment Technician to join our unionized team in the Greater Toronto Area. With the possibility of out of country work.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of process equipment experience, strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
This position requires flexibility to work weekends and participate in on-call.
Onsite training as well as training courses will be provided.
40+ hour work week with possibility for over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and service process equipment.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Diagnose mechanical and equipment-related issues and complete repairs efficiently.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and service calls, including during on-call periods.
- Perform scheduled weekend work as required.
- Follow all company, site, and occupational health and safety requirements.
- Complete maintenance records, service reports, and other required documentation.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship, reliability, and professionalism.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with process equipment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with maintenance, repair, and servicing of process equipment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to respond to service calls and equipment issues as required.
- Availability for weekend work and on-call duties is required.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Relevant trade certification, technical training, or equivalent experience is an asset.
- Local 787 membership is an asset but is not required.
