Overview
Sterne Acura is seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Parts Advisor to join our automotive dealership team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of automotive parts and sales processes. This role involves assisting customers with parts inquiries, managing inventory, and supporting sales operations to ensure a seamless customer experience. Previous dealership experience and familiarity with PBS systems are highly desirable. Bilingual skills and experience in automotive repair or retail sales will be considered advantageous. We are a family run dealership for almost 40 years with a great atmosphere who are looking for someone to join our team .
Duties
- Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct automotive parts through effective communication and product knowledge
- Manage inventory levels, order fulfillment, and stock organization using PBS or other inventory management systems
- Process sales transactions accurately using POS and cashiering systems, including cash handling procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, offering technical advice, and negotiating solutions to meet customer needs
- Maintain accurate records of sales, returns, and exchanges while ensuring proper documentation
- Support marketing efforts by promoting parts specials and new products to customers
- Collaborate with the service department for maintenance scheduling and parts availability
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the parts department to facilitate efficient operations
- Handle phone inquiries professionally, utilizing proper phone etiquette to assist callers effectively
- Bending and lifting and the ability to carry up to 50lbs.
Experience
- Prior dealership experience is preferred, especially with parts sales or service support
- Familiarity with POS systems, Microsoft Excel, and order fulfillment processes is beneficial
- Experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service roles is advantageous
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes and maintenance procedures is a plus
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills for effective negotiation and customer interaction
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and courtesy
Pay: $45,000.00-$52,000.00 per year
