PURPOSE
Perform a full range of service activities on heavy equipment and related shop duties.
SAFETY AND SUSTAINABILITY EXPECTATIONS
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.
- Work proactively to identify and address safety concerns for yourself and coworkers.
- Report all safety issues to the supervisor promptly.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wash mining equipment and components as required.
- Maintain the wash bay for safety and efficiency.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and work areas.
- Complete and track work orders.
- Transport parts between surface and underground using designated vehicles.
- Replenish shop inventory (e.g., parts, oil).
- Dispose of waste and recycling in designated areas.
- Assist mechanics and perform additional duties as assigned.
- Create work orders with minimal supervision.
- Enter time confirmation in SAP.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Motivated and able to work independently in a challenging environment.
- Previous shop or yard experience is an asset.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Experience in cross-cultural work environments is an asset.
- Completion of Modules 13, 14, and 24 preferred, along with basic underground common core.
- Valid G-Class driver’s license.
- Secondary school completion is required.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 1–2 years of experience working with heavy-duty underground vehicles.
OTHER SKILLS
- Reliable attendance and flexibility for shift work.
- Strength and stamina for heavy equipment tasks and confined spaces.
- Mechanical aptitude and interest in machinery.
SHIFT DETAILS
- Shift: 7 days on / 7 days off (7/7 rotation)
ADDITIONAL BENEFITS
- Travel Allowance: $450 per rotation
