Temporary Fencing Technician / DriverWhat You'll Do
- Safely load, transport, install, remove, and retrieve temporary fencing at construction sites, commercial properties, residential projects, and special events.
- Secure fencing panels, gates, and related equipment using safe installation practices while ensuring installations meet customer requirements.
- Manually carry, position, and install fencing panels over varying distances and terrain as required.
- Load, unload, clean, inspect, and organize temporary fencing and related equipment in the yard and warehouse to ensure efficient inventory flow and accessibility.
- Conduct regular inspections of returned fencing, identifying damaged or broken materials and reporting issues to management.
- Perform cycle counts, assist with inventory reconciliation, and coordinate with teammates to resolve inventory or order discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard, warehouse, vehicles, trailers, and work areas.
- Safely load, secure, and transport fencing, portable toilets, front-load waste bins, and other site service equipment.
- Deliver, position, service, and remove portable toilets while maintaining a professional appearance and excellent customer service.
- Assist with front-load waste bin deliveries, exchanges, and pickups as required.
- Support residential and commercial junk removal projects by safely lifting, loading, securing, transporting, and unloading unwanted materials.
- Deliver materials to transfer stations, recycling facilities, donation centres, and landfills as required.
- Complete daily vehicle, trailer, and equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- Safely operate forklifts and other equipment (where qualified) while following all company policies and procedures.
- Identify potential safety hazards and take appropriate corrective action to maintain a safe working environment.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively for fence installation and repairs.
- Provide professional, courteous, and reliable customer service while representing the company at all job sites.
- Follow all company safety policies, traffic regulations, and safe lifting procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring to the TeamQualifications & Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in temporary fencing, construction labour, general labour, yard operations, or a similar role preferred.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean or satisfactory driver's abstract.
- Experience driving trucks and pulling trailers is preferred.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform physically demanding work throughout the day.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand and power tools.
- Forklift certification or experience operating forklifts and other construction equipment is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of construction tools, materials, equipment, and safe work practices is an asset.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Comfortable using computers and mobile technology for inspections, inventory tracking, and work orders.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Customer-service focused with strong communication skills.
- Highly adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on work environment.
Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
