We are looking for an experienced logistics leader to lead a complex 24/7 transportation network across Canada based in Brampton, Ontario. This role is well suited to a strategic and detail-oriented individual who can improve consistency, elevate service standards, and support dependable delivery across multiple locations. The successful candidate will bring strong operational judgment, a collaborative leadership style, and a focus on quality, compliance, and measurable performance.
Responsibilities:
- Direct logistics activities across a multi-site network, ensuring day-to-day operations support organizational priorities and service expectations.
- Design and implement improvements that streamline workflows, create greater consistency, and enhance overall transportation efficiency.
- Manage relationships with external transportation and freight partners, monitoring service quality, responsiveness, and contract performance.
- Develop and review operational indicators such as delivery timeliness, order accuracy, cost control, and regulatory adherence to guide decision-making.
- Ensure logistics practices meet applicable safety, healthcare, and quality requirements while maintaining reliable service delivery.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance oversight to logistics team members and site-based leaders across the network.
- Work closely with internal departments such as operations, commercial teams, and human resources to align logistics support with broader business needs.
- Support operational upgrades and process-related changes, including improvements to systems and tools used within the logistics funct
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in logistics, transportation, or operations leadership roles.
- Demonstrated success overseeing large-scale or national distribution networks with multiple operating sites.
- Strong knowledge of process improvement, route planning, and change leadership in complex environments.
- Experience supervising third-party logistics providers, courier services, or other external transportation vendors.
- Background working in regulated sectors such as healthcare, pharmaceuticals, food, or comparable industries.
- Proven ability to lead teams, build accountability, and deliver results in fast-paced operational settings.
- Familiarity with business systems and tools such as ERP platforms, CRM applications, Cargowise, and related logistics software.
- Strong communication, customer service, and office coordination skills with the ability to collaborate across functions.
