McLeod Earthworks Ltd. is is an equal opportunity employer, committed to a diverse workforce. We are looking to hire an experienced Excavator Operator for our commercial earthworks operations. Successful applicants will have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in excavating and construction equipment operation.
Regular, overtime, and vacation time is paid bi-weekly.
Experience / Skills Required
- Fine grading and finishing
- Loading trucks
- Stripping.
- Stockpiling
- Use of multiple attachments
- Able to operate 2-way radios and have good communication skills.
- Conduct extensive Pre/Post use inspections on equipment.
- Clean and lubricate equipment as needed.
- Physically fit with the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Must be able to follow direction, as well as work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Must have own vehicle to travel to and from the company headquarters north of Cochrane, or to and from various job sites in and around Cochrane and Calgary. No transit is available.
