We are seeking a licensed and motivated G2 Gas Technician to install, service, maintain, and troubleshoot residential and/or commercial gas-fired equipment in accordance with Ontario codes, TSSA regulations, and manufacturer specifications. The successful candidate will provide high-quality workmanship while ensuring safety, efficiency, and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, repair, and maintain gas-fired appliances and HVAC equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with furnaces, boilers, water heaters, fireplaces, rooftop units, and related systems
- Perform gas piping installations, pressure testing, leak detection, and system start-ups
- Conduct preventative maintenance and safety inspections
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Ensure all work complies with TSSA regulations, Ontario codes, and manufacturer requirements
- Complete service reports, work orders, and documentation accurately
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding repairs and recommendations
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment
- Participate in emergency service calls and on-call rotations as required
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario G2 Gas Technician License (TSSA)
- Valid G driver’s license with clean abstract
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, gas piping, and combustion systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- ODP certification considered an asset
- 313D or 313A refrigeration license considered an asset
Working Conditions
- Residential and/or commercial service environments
- Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Heavy lifting, climbing ladders, and confined space work may be required
- On-call or overtime may be required during peak seasons
