Summary
This position is responsible for the coordination and execution of all operational aspects of show site operations to ensure timely and efficient setup and dismantle of assigned events.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and plan all operational aspects of show site operations. Project, review, book and track labour requirements and onsite production schedules for assigned shows to ensure delivery and service requirements are met while managing costs.
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather and determine operational requirements of assigned shows.
- Work closely with account management and operations teams to gather requirements in order to efficiently determine and coordinate requirements for labour, equipment, transportation and production schedules.
- Produce load lists and coordinate show requirements with appropriate internal departments.
- Develop and execute event production plans and schedules to ensure seamless and successful installation and dismantle of assigned events and/or areas.
- Organize, supervise, track site labour for efficient and effective set up and dismantle of events.
- Manage labour and assets for assigned shows and/or assigned areas of show to ensure control of direct costs.
- Ensure proper logging and documentation of materials, equipment, labour and show site additions of equipment/services.
- Produce relevant pre- and post-show reports.
- Adhere to all standard business operating procedures.
Qualifications
- 5+ years industry experience in an operational capacity, inclusive of supervisory functions.
- Solid understanding of show site operations.
- Experience managing labour teams.
- Exceptional communication skills with an ability to interface with various show site stakeholders including: labour, contractors, facility contacts and clients.
- Strong communication, supervisory and leadership skills.
- Keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, projects and priorities in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in basic financial and computer skills.
- Knowledge of applicable Ministry of Labour Regulations and adherence to on-site safety regulations.
- Ability to adapt to multiple environments and shifting responsibilities.
- Must have valid driver’s license with clean driving record and a reliable vehicle.
- Ability to travel to various facilities within the GTA and Ontario.
- Ability to work extended hours on show site, including early mornings, evenings, nights and weekends.
