Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our growing team in Richmond Hill, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate construction cost estimates, reviewing drawings and specifications, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, and assisting with tender submissions and project budgeting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare labour and material cost estimates for construction projects
- Analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Prepare bid proposals, tenders, and estimate reports
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing
- Monitor project costs and assist with budgeting
- Conduct site visits to verify measurements and project conditions
- Maintain cost tracking and reporting systems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Building Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2–3 years of construction estimating experience
- Strong knowledge of construction materials and methods
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD, and estimating software
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Valid driver’s licence
