Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible School Bus Driver to ensure the safe and timely transportation of students to and from school and related activities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong sense of safety, and a genuine passion for working with children. Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses along designated routes, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Transport students to and from school, field trips, and extracurricular activities in a punctual manner
- Assist students with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their safety at all times
- Maintain discipline on the bus when necessary, promoting a respectful environment
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure vehicle safety and cleanliness
- Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and students regarding schedules or concerns
- Report any mechanical issues or safety hazards promptly to maintenance personnel
- Follow all federal, state, and local transportation laws and regulations
Requirements
- Valid BZ License
- Prior experience working with children or in educational settings is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and school staff
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle operation and basic maintenance is beneficial
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
- Ability to work flexible hours during school days, including mornings and afternoons
- Demonstrated responsibility in maintaining safety standards at all times
- Prior experience in commercial driving or teaching is advantageous but not required
Pay: $250.00 per day
