We are looking for an enthusiastic, organized, and patient-focused individual to join our team in a hybrid role combining Physiotherapy Assistant and Patient Care Coordinator responsibilities.
Position Summary
This hybrid position combines hands-on clinical support with front desk and administrative responsibilities. You will work closely with our Physiotherapists and administrative team to ensure exceptional patient experiences while supporting the efficient daily operation of the clinic.

Qualifications
Preferred:
- Post-secondary education in progress in a health-related field or completion of a Physiotherapy Assistant program
- Previous practicum or clinical experience
Required/Assets:
- 1+ years of customer service or administrative experience (healthcare experience is an asset)
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software is an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Fluent in English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Support
- Prepare treatment rooms before patient appointments.
- Assist Physiotherapists with therapeutic modalities and treatment setup.
- Monitor patient comfort during treatment and communicate concerns to clinicians.
- Support efficient patient flow throughout the clinic.
- Maintain treatment equipment and therapy areas according to Alberta Health Services infection prevention standards.
Patient Care & Reception
- Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism and warmth.
- Check patients in and assist with forms and clinic policies.
- Schedule, confirm, and modify appointments.
- Process payments and maintain accurate patient records.
- Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and direct calls appropriately.
- Support patients with insurance, funding, and payment questions.
- Escalate patient concerns to the Clinic Manager when appropriate.
Administrative Duties
- Coordinate clinician schedules and assist with daily clinic operations.
- Maintain electronic patient records and complete data entry.
- Process incoming correspondence and upload documentation to patient files.
- Monitor cancellations and support patient follow-up and retention initiatives.
- Complete opening and closing procedures, including daily reconciliation and balancing of the POS system.
- Perform general office duties including filing, faxing, shredding, inventory management, and ordering supplies.
Clinic Maintenance
- Clean and sanitize treatment rooms, equipment, and common areas.
- Maintain adequate linen and clinic supply inventory.
- Restock treatment materials and ensure the clinic remains clean, organized, and welcoming.

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
