Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dishwasher/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment while assisting with food preparation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong attention to cleanliness, and experience working in fast-paced restaurant or hotel settings. Responsibilities
- Ensure all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to health standards
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning items
- Support cooking activities by preparing ingredients and helping chefs as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by sweeping, mopping, and organizing work areas
- Follow food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality standards are met
- Assist with stock rotation and inventory management of kitchen supplies
- Support the serving staff during busy periods by managing dishware and ensuring timely cleanup
Experience
- Prior experience in a restaurant, hotel, or food service environment is preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning protocols and food handling safety regulations is advantageous
- Experience with food preparation and basic cooking techniques is a plus
- Familiarity with hospitality operations and customer service standards is beneficial
- Previous roles involving food service or kitchen duties will be considered an asset
