Full Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Dental Receptionist. The Dental receptionist will provide comprehensive dental services, delivering high-quality care to ensure our patients have a positive and rewarding experience.
Job Duties (and Not Limited To):
- Patient Greeting & Reception:
- Greet and assist patients with a positive, welcoming attitude.
- Ensure completion of necessary paperwork and verify patient details, including medical histories and insurance information.
- Appointment Scheduling:
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments for patients, ensuring proper utilization of the dentist's time.
- Manage last-minute cancellations or reschedules to optimize the office schedule.
- Phone and Email Management:
- Answer incoming calls, direct them to the correct department, or provide information when necessary.
- Respond to patient emails, scheduling inquiries, and general questions.
- Patient Check-In & Check-Out:
- Greet patients, confirm and update their personal information, and guide them through the check-in process.
- Process payments, issue receipts, and provide follow-up appointment scheduling.
- Insurance Verification & Billing:
- Handle insurance claims, follow up with insurance companies, and assist patients with billing inquiries.
- Patient Record Management:
- Accurately input and update patient data into the system, including medical history, treatments, and insurance details.
- Ensure patient information is confidential and complies with HIPAA regulations.
- Appointment Reminders & Follow-ups:
- Send reminders for upcoming appointments via phone, text, or email.
- Follow up with patients post-appointment to confirm next visits or treatments.
- Front Office Organization:
- Maintain an organized and clean front office area.
- Ensure that patient forms and documents are stocked and up-to-date.
- Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient concerns and queries promptly and professionally.
- Resolve issues, manage patient complaints, and escalate concerns to management as necessary.
- Assist with Patient Flow:
- Ensure smooth patient flow by working closely with the dental team to manage arrivals and reduce wait times.
- Help coordinate with dental assistants and the dentist for patient transitions during appointments.
- Documentation:
- Provide documentation support as needed, such as filing, and maintaining office records.
- Assist in keeping the office compliant with necessary paperwork, consents, and patient treatment records.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Uphold strict confidentiality regarding patient information in compliance.
- Follow office protocols for cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance.
