Title of the position: Plumber Helper Lead Hand
Job duties:
- Providing support and assistance to licensed plumbers;
- Independently assessing the support needs of each project on a case-by-case basis;
- Identifying potential issues and solutions within the scope of the responsibilities of a plumber helper;
- Understanding the needs of the licensed plumbers on site to provide adequate and timely support and direct new plumber helpers accordingly;
- Training and guiding new plumber helpers on site to ensure that their work is completed in accordance with company quality standards;
- Directing plumber helper workflow to ensure work is completed smoothly and efficiently;
- Completing drywalling and painting to close holes in walls;
- Operating equipment for drywalling, plumbing, and painting as required;
- Erecting and dismantling forms, scaffolding, ramps, shoring barricades as required;
- Mixing, pouring and spreading material compounds as required;
- Loading and unloading construction and plumbing materials and equipment;
- Moving plumbing, construction, and other work materials and equipment to designated areas on the job site;
- Maintaining a clean workspace at the job site by removing and clearing rubble and disposing of rubble according to company policies.
Terms of employment: Full-time, permanent, 40hrs/week

Wage: $36.00/hour, may be subject to periodic raise or bonuses

Skills Requirements:
- Education: Secondary school, WHMIS certification
- Work experience: 2 years of relevant work experience in construction with one year as a plumber helper
- Valid driver’s license required
