Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Flat Roofing Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with roofing projects, primarily focusing on flat roof installations. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a willingness to learn new skills in the roofing industry. Prior experience with construction or handyman work is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated individuals. Safety and teamwork are essential components of this position.
Duties
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of flat roofs using various roofing materials and techniques
- Use hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, and caulking guns to complete roofing tasks
- Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure proper installation procedures
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing and durability of roofing systems
- Support carpentry tasks related to roofing structures and framing as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite, adhering to safety standards at all times
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on schedule and to quality standards
Experience
- Prior experience in construction, carpentry, or handyman services is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with hand tools, blueprint reading, and caulking techniques is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks throughout the workday
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to roofing and construction sites is beneficial
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to teamwork are essential for success in this role
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
