Community Engagement & Program Outreach Coordinator

The Community Engagement & Program Outreach Coordinator will lead Zamar Music Inc.’s on-the-ground efforts to grow community awareness and participation during our transitional growth period. Working hand-in-hand with our Communications Specialist and Social Media Coordinator, this individual will own the execution of innovative outreach strategies that connect Brampton residents to Zamar’s programs, events, and the Legacy 150 membership initiative. The 8-week term is fast-paced and results-focused — the ideal candidate is action-oriented, creative, and genuinely passionate about community building.

Key Responsibilities

Execute innovative, community-centred outreach strategies to build awareness of Zamar’s programs during the organization’s space retrofit and capital expansion phase.
Lead on-the-ground implementation of the Legacy 150 membership initiative, including community outreach, membership intake, and clear communication of pre-space-opening incentives to prospective members.
Collaborate closely with the Communications Specialist and Social Media Coordinator to develop integrated campaigns that amplify program awareness across digital and in-person channels.
Organize and facilitate community-facing engagement activities, pop-ups, information sessions, and outreach events to recruit members and program participants.
Build relationships with schools, faith communities, cultural organizations, neighbourhood associations, and other community stakeholders across Brampton.
Gather community feedback and monitor engagement metrics to continuously strengthen outreach efforts and campaign execution.
Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, community contacts, and membership recruitment progress.
Serve as a visible and enthusiastic ambassador for Zamar Music Inc. throughout the Brampton community.

Qualifications

Demonstrated passion for community engagement, cultural programming, or arts outreach.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to take ownership of a portfolio of work and deliver results within tight timelines.
Excellent communication skills — written, verbal, and interpersonal — with the ability to engage diverse communities authentically.
Creative thinker who can bring fresh, culturally relevant energy to outreach strategies and on-the-ground execution.
Experience with event coordination, community organizing, or outreach programming is an asset.
Familiarity with the Brampton community and its cultural diversity is a strong asset.
Comfort using digital communication tools and social platforms to support outreach campaigns.
Post-secondary enrollment or completion in Arts Administration, Community Development, Marketing, Social Work, Education, or a related field is an asset — lived experience and a track record of community involvement are equally valued.

Community Sales & Partnerships Coordinator

The Community Sales & Partnerships Coordinator will play a central role in driving revenue and community investment during Zamar’s transitional growth period. Working collaboratively with our Communications Specialist and Social Media Coordinator, the successful candidate will develop and execute strategies to sell lesson programs, promote concert productions, grow ticket sales, and build compelling sponsorship and funding proposals that support our capital expansion project. This individual is a natural connector — someone equally comfortable pitching a corporate sponsor and having a meaningful conversation with a community member.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement a results-driven sales strategy for Zamar’s lesson programs, targeting individuals, families, and community groups across Brampton.
Drive ticket sales for upcoming concert productions and edutainment events through targeted outreach, partnerships, and community engagement.
Create and present persuasive sponsorship proposals and funding applications to local businesses, foundations, and community partners to support Zamar’s capital expansion project.
Actively champion and execute the Legacy 150 membership initiative — engaging prospective members, communicating pre-space-opening incentives, and driving measurable membership growth within the 8-week term.
Collaborate with the Communications Specialist and Social Media Coordinator to ensure consistent and compelling messaging across all sales and outreach channels.
Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, cultural organizations, schools, faith communities, and local businesses.
Track and report on sales activities, leads, conversions, and sponsorship outcomes on a regular basis.
Represent Zamar Music Inc. at community events, fairs, and networking opportunities in a professional and enthusiastic manner.
Identify new partnership and earned-revenue opportunities aligned with Zamar’s mission and growth strategy.

Qualifications

Administrative Assistant

The Administrative Assistant at Zamar Music Inc. will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of the organization. They will work closely with the staff to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the organization. Their strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills and attention to detail will be essential in maintaining accurate records, managing schedules, providing effective administrative support and providing great customer care to the community we serve.

Key Responsibilities

Taking and ensuring messages are passed to the appropriate staff member in time
Greet and make all who enter the facility feel welcomed.
Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, and events.
Maintain an organized electronic filing system for documents, records, and correspondence.
Prepare various documents including memos, letters, reports, presentations, and forms as requested by the Executive Director.
Assist in coordinating logistics for meetings and events including room reservations, refreshments/catering arrangements, and audiovisual equipment setup.
Managing office inventory such as stationery, equipment and furniture
Handle incoming/outgoing mail distribution ensuring timely delivery and processing
Perform general clerical tasks such as photocopying, faxing, scanning, filing, and data entry as needed.
Assist in maintaining contact databases within MMS and MailChimp and updating contact information as required.
Maintaining safety and hygiene standards of the reception area

Qualifications

Prior experience in a Customer Service role is preferred.
Good telephone communication etiquette
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Proficiency in using My Music Staff (MMS) (our online studio management software) is preferred
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

Communications Specialist

The Communications Specialist will be responsible for executing focused communications, digital media, and public relations initiatives to promote Zamar Music Inc.’s programs, events, and community impact. This role will support the development of foundational communication systems while strengthening Zamar Music Inc.’s storytelling, brand visibility, and engagement within the community.

The Communications Specialist will play an important role in delivering structured communications outputs within an 8-week period while helping establish tools and workflows that support long-term communications growth.

Key Responsibilities

Draft and edit press releases, blog posts, and program highlights for summer activities.
Develop weekly social media content calendars and create engaging posts across platforms.
Prepare template-based written content including artist bios, captions, and newsletter blurbs that can be reused throughout the year.

Assist in developing a 6-month communications roadmap.
Identify key messaging themes for programs, events, and partnerships.
Build foundational systems such as templates, schedules, and writing guides to support consistent communications.

Manage Zamar Music Inc.’s social media platforms daily, including posting content, responding to engagement, and tracking performance metrics.
Support the organization of digital assets by creating structured archives and content tracking systems.
Develop and maintain a digital asset library to support future content creation.

Research and build a regional media contact list.
Draft introductory outreach emails to media contacts.
Support preparation of interview briefs and media materials for events or features.

Develop a refreshed newsletter template and produce at least one newsletter issue.
Collect stories, photos, and updates from program staff to support communications initiatives.
Assist in refining internal communication systems to improve information sharing across teams.

Support storytelling initiatives that highlight Zamar Music Inc.’s programs, artists, and community partnerships.
Ensure all communications materials adhere to Zamar Music Inc.’s branding, tone, and visual identity guidelines.

Track communications and social media analytics and compile performance insights.

Qualifications

Studying or completed a diploma/degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field.
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
Experience managing social media platforms in a professional or volunteer capacity.
Basic understanding of media relations, public relations, and branding.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a creative, fast-paced, community-centered environment.
Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple small projects within a short timeline.
