This role plays a critical part in ensuring our customers receive their newspapers on time, even when unexpected issues arise. You will be responsible for stepping in when routes are short-staffed, papers are missed, or a last-minute delivery problem occurs.
This is a fast paced, hands-on role that requires flexibility, physical stamina and a strong sense of responsibility.
Duties Include
- Delivering missed newspapers, sections and advertising flyers to customers throughout Winnipeg using a company supplied vehicle.
- Covering depot shortages and carrier route gaps on short notice.
- Delivering extra or replacement papers to dealers when they run short or sell out.
- Supporting special delivery requests, distribution and marketing campaigns and city routes as needed.
- Driving through the city and making frequent stops.
- Lifting, carrying, and handling bundles of newspapers (up to 50 lbs.).
- Working independently while staying in communication with dispatch.
- Taking pride in helping customers start their day with a positive experience.
