Reporting to the Quality, Health & Safety Director, you will play a key role in supporting and strengthening the company’s HSE culture across manufacturing operations.
You will contribute to regulatory compliance, risk prevention, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the implementation and improvement of HSE policies and procedures
- Conducting inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations
- Following up on corrective and preventive actions
- Coordinating HSE training programs (WHMIS, lockout/tagout, PPE, ergonomics, confined spaces, etc.)
- Maintaining HSE documentation and compliance records
- Supporting emergency response planning and prevention initiatives
- Contributing to environmental management activities (waste, chemicals, emissions, water, etc.)
- Participating in audits, regulatory inspections, and continuous improvement projects
- Working closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams
- Promoting a proactive safety and compliance culture on the floor
We are looking for a hands-on, organized, and proactive professional comfortable working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
What we’re looking for:
- College or university degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environment, or related field
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in industrial, manufacturing, or pharmaceutical environments
- Strong knowledge of Canadian HSE regulations and standards
- Experience with audits, inspections, and HSE documentation
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Continuous improvement mindset and field-oriented leadership
Assets:
- Experience in pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated environments
- First aid training or additional HSE certifications
